Sherry Alberoni

Sherry HeadshotSherry Alberoni van Meter made her show business debut at the age of two as a magazine cover model, which eventually led to the audition for The Mickey Mouse Club when she was nine years old.

MMC head shotSelected as a Mouseketeer, she spent a year on the series before being signed to star opposite Abbott and Costello in the film, Dance With Me Henry. A seven-year contract to Columbia Pictures followed with a starring role in The Three Worlds of Gulliver and guest-starring roles on most every popular television show of the era including My Three Sons, The Donna Reed Show, The Andy Griffith Show, The Farmer’s Daughter, Dobie Gillis, Make Room for Grandaddy, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Monkees and Family Affair. In 1968, Sherry traveled to Vietnam and appeared in the Bob Hope Christmas Show ~ returning the following year with her own musical show. Sherry, also a voiceover artist, provided character voices for such animated TV series as Scooby Doo, Josie and the Pussycats, The Partridge Family in Outer Space and Superfriends. Sherry has a long list of charitable and church work including as a board member of Catholic Charities of Orange County, chairwoman of The Bishop’s Mardi Gras Ball, Chairperson of The Big Breath Easy for the American Lung Association, a board member of The Patron of the Arts in the Vatican and Catholics Come Home, among many others.

Sherry also owns an enviable array of Disneyana. Her most remarkable collectible is a specially designed, one-of-kind backyard swimming pool – in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head!
